Manual or Auto trasnmission?

If it is an auto I believe the transmission filler plug will be located on the right hand side of the transmission casing.  As the E60 x models are not available in right hand drive, it will be the passenger side of the casing.

Or are you meaninig the transfer box filler plug?

Yip, it's on the right hand side of the casing.

There is no dipstick to measure the fluid level or to use to add fluid.  I beleive it needs to be filled under pressure.  Best left to a transmission specialist IMO.

The drain plug is on the sump pan.  The sump pan is integral with the fluid filter.
