I would wait for others to chime in to confirm, but I am of the understanding that the wiring is already there and you should be able to just plug them into the power. Unless you fit a switch directly onto each seat you will need to change the switch panel in front of the gear stick that has the heater switches installed and for that you may need to run an extra loom from the fuse box above the glovebox.

I looked at doing this to my old car but I was going to fit a switch to the seats so that all I needed was power.

Actually, try this:

The link above involves retrofitting the heated electric memory seats. Hope that helps!

Assuming that it is an E39 it should be simpler to retro fit.  Chances are that the wiring is there burried under the carpet but you would need to control it with a switch in the console.  The E39 looks quite easy to add additional switches into the console to control it.

What the hard bit will be is finding the heated seats in decent condition in the same leather to match the rest of the car.  Retro fitting the heating elements into your seats will cost a significant amount of £££s or EEEs.

Regarding your query for reversing sensors, it would be easier to retro fit a kit than try and install a BMW one from another car.  You would need the control unit and whatever the bit of kit it is that makes the beeps etc.
