Me again, I am replacing a lower front wishbone back lolli Pop bearing, with pre installed Ball Joints, while I am doing this I am going to replace the Bushes on the antisway bar, and the drop links, as the Parts cost of 20.00 is well worth it.
Not a major Job but one you have to do when you get a little Vibration on the steering and the Ball Joint is the Problem.
It is my opinion, even if it is one ball joint on one side, where you have wishbone connected ball joints, it is better NOT JUST TO REPLACE THE BALL JOINT OR THE WHOLE WISHBONE BUT REGARDLESS OF THE CONDITION OF THE OTHER SIDE.
It is all ways better to replace matching sides, so all though I have an issue with only one Bush and One Ball joint and I do have access to a press, from past experience with Many Many vehicles, if you do just the minimum, a short time later the oposite side goes or the parts you did not replace on the Intregate part go, I learned both the hard way and being taught, if you replace a Ball Joint do its match on the oposite side, likewise Tie Rod ends, I just picked up on some one who was being told by garage do the Pair, while another Garage says do just the one.
If he does just the one, the Garage will be making money at his expense, as HE WILL BE BACK SOON TO GET THE JOB DONE PROPERLY.
It is always better to do pairs in steeering suspension and even with tires, put the best matching tires on oposite sides, if it is rear wheel drive my preferrence is on the Back, but it is choice.
Be warned, my whole replacement for both sides for lower wishbones/lollipop bearings and drop links and  sway bar bush's is 100.00 for parts and about a day to do the job, and I am disabled and 60 years old.
I have another Post which might interest, I will put it up next.

You are right Jimmy.

After my E60 failed its MOT on one track rod end, I asked the garage to do the pair, they only wanted to do the single.  But on the E60 you would need to a full four wheel alignment after a single track rod end, I thought I only want to pay for one wheel alignment so I got them to do the two track rod ends.

But when my front suspension control arm ball joint failed, I only replaced the components on that one side.  I figured it was easier to repalce both arms, the control arm and the tension arm at the same time as I needed to take the two arms off at the hub to replace the wheelbearing on that one side.

Its passed an MOT since.

It does get pricey to repair things in pairs......but it is the correct Engineering thing to do.
