Hi, recently purchased an E34 540i Touring registered Oct 1997/R reg. car is in Black,great condition, 114k with good history but also interested me as its on an R plate.
Ive heard talk of there only being 5 or so E34 540i Touring on an R reg and also mention of someone ordering 5 identical Black ones. Does anyone know much about this subject or know a way of finding out if this was one of the last? Think ive worked out it was one of the last 25 to be built but then not registered for over a year!? any replies would be very welcome Thanks, Neal Edited by Beags - 29-May-2013 at 23:44 |

 Would be interested in seeing some pics of your beast. Have you tried BMW themselves? I think there might be an E34 owners club or smilar, have you tried searching t'interweb?

I use this for getting specs and general information on cars before I go to see them to see if anything has been changed or added - might tell you something interesting about it?
