Does anyone know of a good motor factor or similar that stocks a decent set of jump leads?  Preferably Glasgow area.

Looking for a set atleast 5m long and capable of handling up to 1000 amps, in otherwords man enough to start my E60.

I've seen a few sets on line but postage can be a problem as they think that a PA postcode very near to Glasgow Airport is the same as PA43 in Islay and charge an arm and a leg for delivery.

I've got my dads set which are made from 16mm2 copper welding cable and are 5m long so are man enough to do the job and long enough to reach round a car.  Need to return them to the old boy so want a set myself.

Alot of the ones for sale are rated as only being man enough to start an engine less than 2000cc and are only 2 - 2.5m long which is barely long enough to reach across two engine bays when parked next to each other.

You probably have a set by now but if not, try Machine Mart. I bought a Booster pack from there and an optimiser and prices were pretty fair.

No set bought yet as I've still got my dads, plus he has just inflicted upon himself a much newer car so he won't need them for a bit.

Halfrauds? Nah.  Stuff from them is too short and not man enough.

Cheers guys.
