We have been invited to an open day by Mackie Automatic Transmission Ltd, 95 Causewayside Street
Tollcross, Glasgow, G32 8LT. The date is to be confirmed but will probably be a Saturday morning. So this thread is to gage any interest we may have for an event of this kind. If the numbers attending were between 10 and 30 we could have an event specially for the BMW Car Club. Details of the visit are as follows... Proposed Agenda Tour of facility to include :- View how Automatic Transmissions are remanufactured View how Torque Converters are remanufactured Demonstration on how valve bodies are tested Demonstration on how complete transmission are tested on a dynamometer Short presentation by John Mackie (Managing Director) Mackie Staff will be at hand to answer any questions and dispel any myths. Refreshments and Finger Food Provided. As a ZF Approved Centre So you know the drill. If you are interested in this visit on a Saturday morning please add your name below and I will arrange a date. Unfortunately they cant do a Sunday and the only other option is at night during the week which we thought might limit the numbers. But happy to go with what suits everyone!

I tried to organise one before and didn't get the interest. Mackies did tell me that it would need to be during office hours though but that was a while ago now. I can recommend them, they fixed my E39 and serviced my E60. |

Just to be clear there is NO date for this at the moment. I just want to know who is interested and to see if was going to be worth arranging. It is likely to be a sat as that suits most folk but happy to look into other options if required. Updated list below as it had got a bit messy!!

Can you add me to this. A great choice Issy. I had my Cit C5 autobox serviced here but didn't manage the workshop visit. Worth folks checking out the website. They seem a really professional bunch of people.
