I'll be going in to see Ranald early next week. I'll ask about automatics and check with Tim about the air con re-charge. I'll post up any updates

My M3 would only rev to 5000rpm when on the rollers.

Yeah, due to the rear wheels doing over 100MPH with the fronts stopped and the car protecting itself. This is a hub mounted dyno, meaning it will spin the front wheels at the same speed and resistance as the rears..........no faults.......

Update,

Tim has confirmed that he can do an air con gas recharge as a special (on that day) bulk discount deal for us at £35 per car. This only covers a standard re-gas and does not include any leaky air con diagnostics or repair.

I spoke with Ranald also who confirms that his dyno machine can cope with automatics as long as there is a manual change option like Tiptronic where the driver can select a gear and as long as he doesn't "kick down" the vehicle, all will be fine and has been on the last few automatic BMWs he's tested. He also confirms that if this isn't the case, there will be no charge for that particular vehicle. (nothing ventured etc etc etc)
