Got my car back from the garage as the clutch master cylinder had failed. The garage replaced the slave as well as advised they normally go once the master has been replaced.

Got the garage to fit the Z3 1.9 gearlever......what a difference this makes. The standard lever does slow your gearchange time and with the new lever is very short and precise. Well worth the mod. Garage also fitted the timing chain tensioner, E36 M3 version at the same time.

I'll second that, speeds up changes - most notably from 2-3.

Roughly how much do these Mods costs ? The Z3 gearlever sounds like a really worthwhile change.

Cheers

If you use the search facility Uwe has highlighted the recommended parts need when changing levers, in the form of a diagram from ETK. Mainly washers etc.

I'm getting mine fitted on saturday, so am quite looking forward to it. - before anyone accuses me of not getting my hands dirty, my brothers fiance works in the service dept of a main dealer and as it was a Christmas present from him...

Chaps - hate to be a MAJOR bore on this one because I'm fairly sure this has been covered before, but what are the parts needed for this conversion??

Does the 1.9 Z3 assembly come all in one??

Thanks and sorry at the same time

http://www.s14.ctmnet.de/0132/0132.htm

This is the link to the pic with all the parts, but if you do a search (at top) for 'z3 1.9' in the 'body of message' you will see various topics, look at the one titled 'never fails to suprise' the parts etc. are covered. All the ones highlighted are required, you have to order parts individually.
