Dunc/Jim,

I received a flyer from Crail Raceway with dates for this year.. the calendar looks a lot fuller than last year & suggests to book early to avoid disappointment..

Email contact is mail@crailthrash.co.uk though I suspect you already have contact details. I would like to get a date down for March/April - otherwise I'll take forward as some sort of Scottish track organiser if you like. Perhaps myself & some 'other' can take some sort of responsibility for this...to give you Wendy & Jim a break.

The other big issue i.r.o Crail being insurance as this surely deters many members from committing themselves & their loved ones (ie.. their BeeMs).

If possible it would be good to see 4 dates: 3 at Crail & 1 at Knockhill.. what do you think?

Don't forget the Crail calender includes the new Edzell dates and focuses largely on Sundays... our track days have been Saturdays so far.

Cheers for the offer of help organising Sure JW will grab you for a chat at the Feb meet or drop him a line direct - contact details on site - http://www.newtongrove.demon.co.uk/bmwcc/c.html

Do you have any dates in mind.

Has club central office endorsed Crail as an official 'Better Dirving Day' venue.. otherwise club scheme will not apply and insurance may prove difficult..

What alternative venues (Other than Knockhill) can we consider?

Plan B - as you suggested - is turn up at the Knockhill Hot hatch evenings in force.. how about you and I go to the first one scheduled for this year & suss it out..

Anyone planning to go to any of Crail's other events.. there's talk of a 8 config circuit for Fast Car and car testing... might be nice to put in a couple of quarters as well..?

Happy to nip up to KH any time.... suggest we aim for the Hot Marques nights, NOT the Hot Hatch nights.

If there are spaces available when you arrive at the Hot Marques nights just need to pay your dough and can take to the track. It's about £50.

Aye but I don't want to be on the same time as the kevs who are mostly 1% skill & 99% bravado.. fine if they write off their over-powered and under-braked saxos and novas.. but not when it impales itself to my ZeeM...

Much prefer to be on track with guys who actually care enough for themselves, others and their motors to not mess about...

You'll find on Top Marques evening elises type r civic and there should not ba any cars under the value of £10k going round the track, that's what hot hatch days are for.
