I've had this before on other, inferior cars as well as an old E21 .

After much tail chasing and head scratching, it turned out to be the front strut upper bearings.

ps.  By how much do your lowered springs physically lower the car ?  If it isn't too silly, I could be interested.

you see 15" cross spokes in Loot quite regularily  www.loot.com  and they vary from £100 a set (really scruffy) to £250 for a good set of 4! Sometimes slightly more, but not much.

Whilst the car is static or on slow movement, turning the wheel results in a creaking noise coming from aroung both sides in the suspension areas. The car is in A1 condition with new inserts and springs. Would this be some sort of rubber bush or something? Has anyone experienced similar.

ps. when I finally get a set of mtech springs, as mentioned in one of my previous posts,I will have a spare a set of lowered springs. 1991 325i convert.

Whilst I'm at it, what seems to be the price for a good set of 15" cross spokes?

Thanks,

Andy
