Hi all

Come on all you Tyne /Teesers

If anyone would like to join me on a convoy to Rockingham on the 6th I shall be joining the A19  at the 'Testos' roundabout Boldon just south of the Tyne Tunnel at 04:30am.  Then on to the A690 to join the A1(M) at Carville (junction 62) just before Durham at 5:00am.  Teesside members may prefer to join us at Dishforth (Junction 49) having travelled further south via the A19 and A168 to join A1.  I look forward to your comments.  Come on all of you let's make a big day of this celebration.

Regards

It has come to my notice that convoy arrangements are already far more advanced on the E30 Zone Forum.  There is great enthusiasm, however all the excellent suggestions made so far just need to be co-ordinated and finalised.  Does enyone want to take this responsibility?  I am prepared to do so on behalf of the E30 Register if I have your support.

Regards

Richard

Thanks to all the guys on the E30 Zone forum who have got their heads together, it now looks like the final arrangements for the Tyne/Tees North East convoy are coming to a conclusion.

Meet at the Dalton Lodge on A19  ready to depart this point at 5.00am   Convoy to take A19 south to join A168 then A168 to A1 at Dishforth Interchange,  continue south on A1(m) /A1 to arrive at Ferrybridge Service Area (junction with M62) for approx. 6.15am (distance 76 miles so far). Here we plan to meet up with the convoy joining the A1 from the North West.

NE/NW convoy to depart Ferrybridge Service Area at 6.30am (further 98 miles to Rockingham) - continue down A1/A1(M)/A1 to join the B668 at approx 4.5 miles past the Colsterworth Service Area -  (This would be a good place to re-group if necessary) - stay on B688 for just almost 8 miles through Greetham and Cottesmore then join the A606 at Oakham for 4.5 miles to join the A6003 for about 12 miles via Uppingham and Caldecott to Rockingham to arrive hopefully around 8.00am.

The above is all still subject to confirmation.

We don't know what to expect regarding roadworks !! and watch those speed traps

What say you all? Any comments/suggestions?

Regards

Richard

Be nice to see you Howard, looks like were going to have a fairly strong contingent.  Looking forward to the big day.  Hope the weather's kind to us.

Hi everybody,

It's 1st March, the last week before Rockingham.  Just an update to remind anyone who wishes to travel down with the NE Tyne/Tees contingent.  We are still planning to meet at the Dalton Lodge on the A19 for a 5.00am departure to meet up with NW contingent at Ferrybridge Services at 6.15am.  Check out also E30 Zone forum.
