After my visit to Fritz yesterday i aquired from them some rear head restrainst and vinyl surrounds.  As you probable know these items are rare and hard to come by so i have not got my desired interior colour. They currently are Blood red and i need to colour them dark Blue. Can anyone advice me as to the best method or person to enable me to get a colour match to the rest of my interior.

I tried to get some for mine (Pacific Blue) second hand but could not find any. I eventually got some from BMW on back order, which is very lucky as most Pacific Blue parts are NLA. Now all I need are the plastic trim for the recaro seats in Pacific Blue as I have a beige pair that I am going to get recovered. I have a couple of the side parts in blue but not a complete set. I have a complete set in black which I will prbably use for now but have know idea about how to go about re colouring plastic parts.

Although an electronics engineer I do a lot of work in the plastics industry.

You cant re-colour plastic except to "paint" it.

I would suggest your local bodyshop for "paints" for hard plastic, like the bumper stuff, as for vinyl, couldnt your local upholsterer recover these things for you ?

Best Wishes

Nigel
