Got an Ad posted on PistonHeads too.

Pricing seems to be a bit of a pig at the mo... there are higher mileage cars dearer and lower mileage cars cheaper. All v confusing...

Anyone got any handy hints for selling?

I would normally trade in... but the prices are laughable

Will sell or split the bits according to buyer... Neil's already got dibs on the BMC

Got an ad on e36coupe already

Am trying the freebie routes before Autotrader etc...

Won't you miss the straight six.. petrol that is.. unless you've got your eye on a 330d that is?

Is it seeing all those mental diesel boys at Crail that has given you the urge... or is the fuel economy?

Mostly the economy Jon... 4 ins groups lower than the 328i and 60ish mpg. The increase in torque is no bad thing either...

Duncan.

Just a little note, you may already know this one.

Its true I promise you.

A friend of a friend had a desirable high performance car, he lives in Bromyard where my workshop is.

He advertised it in one of "the papers", autotrader I think.

He had several enquieries, asking all the normal questions, cd autochanger, does it have a  tracker etc etc.

A chap supposedly from Birmingham arranged to come and view it quite late on a Saturday afternoon, he rang back at the time he was supposed to come, said he was running late, could he come later, the seller told him he was going out, and they arranged a time for Sunday.

When he came home after his night out, the house had been absolutely ransacked, car and keys were gone.

I dont know how you get around this one, as one of the pieces of advice when you are buying a second hand car is to go to the owners house, and ask to use the toilet, to make sure the seller has access to the house, and isnt just "borrowing" the drive to meet you.

Be careful mate, I hadnt heard of this one before.

I suppose you could say on the phone it has a tracker, and if it doesnt, tell the perspective buyer the truth when he comes, and why you said it.

Best Wishes

Nigel

If you check the FAQ Mr Moderator sir, you'll find that if the vehicle is advertised on the BMWCC pages then linking is allowed

Good question - if I had my way it would be next weekend.. come on Dunc what's the script - discuss at next meet. I contacted Willie but he never got back to me after I gave him various dates....

Alternative is we head up to the next Knockhill Hot Marques night as suggested.. how many takers? I'll have a look at Knockhill calendar and discuss at next meet & chase Willie again i.r.o Crail..

& there's me with me F1 con rod bolts.. all dressed up and no where to go..
