As a new committee member for the South East region, I have been reading the post on this forum with interest.

I also find it disappointing that apart from the committee members only one member turned up at the AGM to add any input. One post said that they did not know the AGM was being held, It was advertised in the Club Mag, straight 6, The main club website, and on the South East website. Unless you as members attend such meetings and contribiute, How do the committee know the type of event to organise. My calender is getting pretty full with South East and Z register events. Why isnt yours?

Any way enough of my Rants.

I would be more than willing to organise meets within the south east region but I need to know what YOU the members want. The Golden Galleon on the A259 Seaford has a large car park and good food. Maybe that is a possible venue for a meet.

Tony,

Sorry but I'm one of those who missed the SE AGM, despite all the advertising.

When & where was it and more importantly when & where is the next one? Perhaps a post in the this forum a month or so ahead would remind everybody and attract a bigger crowd.

Sorry Seaford is a bit of a trek from Camberley and our weekends are getting nicely filled with BDD's and local activities.

I have just been reading John Safe's post and I agree that more frequent local meets intermingled with larger multi-region or section meets is a good way forward.

Meetings are always advertised on the South East web site  in fact they are there for the whole year. They happen in Dorking usually the 2nd Saturday in the month. Except April which is the 17th and May when there isnt one. Too many events in may to fit it in.
