I forgot about GSF, you can get a 10% discount if you are a member of the BMW Car Club . Was that price for original Hella lights ? As that is what Eurocarparts sell.

You sure these are angel eyes for this price?  I think they are just a kit to retrofit the amber indicators to the clear type.  Let me know when you get them and prove me wrong....

Original Hella Angel Eyes - boxed and new...

Just dug out my invoice and:

and they are £145 per headlight + VAT + adaptor kit at 24.50

is £314.50 + VAT (17.5%) £55.04

=£369.53

also on my list for interest is Tail lamp kit - Y2K upgrade e39 saloon - that weighed in at 175.00+VAT (30.63)

= £205.63

Have a photo to email if you want to see!

Cheers

Jim

I response to Nick_Baldey - fitting Angel Eyes

I was suprised how easy it was to fit - The instructions run to a 4 page A4 leaflet (for Halogen to Halogen replacement) - It's almost as simple as unbolting the old ones and bolting in the news ones - there is an air conditioning pipe that intrudes into where the new lights go - but bending it VERY carefully (use a pipe bender if you have one) back and to the right allows the new light to fit in.  They simply connect back all the lights/wire using the adaptor kit and - Hey Presto 'New' Angel Eyes.

Celis Rears are similar but need a few holes drilled.  I followed to instructions sent in the box - but I believe a copy is availible on www.bmwtips.com

What year is your car?  I've seen some places selling them specifying specific year of the car.  Mine is a 1997.

Tom,

My car is a 97 production model.  My understanding is. 97 to the end of 99 had the orange inidcator lights both front and rear.  From end 99 to sometime in 2000 the lights were changed so that the orange bits were white - no actual change to the 'system'.  Then finally in 2000 came the CELIS lights front and rear - these are the ones with the angel eye moniker.

If your car is from 97 then I'm pretty sure this would be the same as mine.

My ad on the car club website might be interesting to those of you who have E39 models.

I either have in stock or can get most types of E39 lights and other accessories and I think my prices are better than those listed above.

Don't miss the roof and boot spoilers on the ad made by that famous tuning company from Aachen in Germany (can't mention their name for legal reasons but you know who they are).

See the link to the ad page
