I recieved this this morning; it was sent to the email address I use for my ebay a/c and it all looks well. however, the form when submitted does not go to http://www.ebay.com but to http://pmm2004.com/uri.php - this address is not secure, has nothing to do with ebay and is referred to as phishing (like fishing).

The owners of this site collect the info submitted in the form and are able to get into your ebay a/c and get your credit card details, etc.

Similar emails are sent from paypal, your bank, etc. Basically, if you get an unsolicited email like this asking you to re-submit your details, then login to your a/c and change them there but don't do it via the email - ever!!!

I've recieved several of these over the last few months, everything from banking through to yahoo messenger, including e-bay.

They are so common now that they have even been featured on BBC Radio 2s afternoon show, by the "web" person Miles.
