After giving the new 330ci a good going over at the weekend noticed something funny.

I have the 18" MV Spoke alloys but the front are sitting on 40 profile tyres and the rear on 35's. Any idea why? Should the 40's not be on the rear?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers.

The 35 and 40 you refer to is a percentage of tyre width and with the rears being wider the percentage will be lower so it matches the side wall height of the fronts - thus same rolling radius.

Didn'y know that! Thought the 30/35/40 etc. was a simple reference to the tire wall size.

Must be an optical illusion then coz the front tyres look as if the wall is larger.

Thanks.
