Anyone fancy this at Crail next weekend ? (Sunday 13.06.04)
Seems there's a Mod magazine's big meet there
was at Edzell today but it was tame compared to what this would seem to offer

Fast Car meet is pretty busy. Can't make this one, but everyone should go at least once just for the spectacle...

Been to the fast car and max power ones... and it sure attracts a lot more motors for you, non mag days can be very quiet in comparison.  also a lot of flesh on display if you like that thing... the 1/4 is a spectacle itself... watchout for some of CRD's entries and a white MR2... its a beast .

I've found CRD stuff pretty disappointing on the whole. Overhyped and underperforming...

Some of the home grown stuff is much more impressive IMHO.

Was meant to be on the SS-R stand but bodyship scuppers that...

That'll be Jav's MR2 then.. a beast!! Gerry at Dastek is helping to map that car.. 600hbhp+.. turbo the size of Rosyth and the driveability of a one wheeled rocket car... a new gen twin scroll turbo would be better.. but hey as a drag car it could be fun though I reckon he'll have big traction probs using the wheels I saw even if he does have Racelogic...

AYE - that's Jav's, a lad that comes on www.scottishcruise.com is good mates with him and tells us all about it! LOL It's a fair steal like... I heard it was bought and imported for less than 10k!

With regards to CRD's stuff, relatively new company are they not, still learning however you can't really argue with the fastest 1/4 set by a road legal car?  Doing well already even if the car wasn't originally theirs.

CDR's cars have not been developed by them. They buy them in and then say they have done all the work. They take the credit for other poeples hard work. The FTO turbo they bought from Japan in it's final incarnation and said they did all the work. I know someone who almost bought it from Japan in that guise. Say no more bunch of ******s

Tis true though I think more and more people are cottining on to this.. in their latest magazine feature I've noticed slight admissions of original origins of their motors.

Apparently the Supra was pretty much bought as is so CRD have a bit of cheek taking the credit. Either way it's up for sale so it must be on its last legs..  F&M quote 200mph,, which sounds iffy if it's geared to be a drag car.. speaking of which I'll have a wee mod by the year end that will see M 8LUR do 12s up the quarter...
