Hi all,

Anyone had any experiences witrh remus exhausts? I really want one, but I have been pointed in the direction of a supersprint.

Anyone with any input please leave a reply, it's almost time to change and I still don't know which exhaust to get!

Cheers!

i had a remus on my old 325 and my escort gti estate  but tbh was never that happy with the sound of them .

i hear people say good things about supersprint  so might be worth a try

if it was me however , i would stick to scorpion or ansa  as i luuurve the sound they give ,

 just my oppinion tho

my supersprint is spot on, good build and very subtle noise. sounds like stock but much better torque gains in the mid range.

Depending on where you live you might want to try a company called Top Gear, they do PowerFlow exhausts, they make it to your spec and have a lifetime warrenty.

In my previous experience with aftermarket exhausts Magnex seem to fair pretty well ,ie good fitment, nice deep sound but not too loud and cost a bit.Scorpion and Mongoose are also ok but are a bit too loud on a bimmer (just my opinion).Remus are also good quality but also are really expensive and one of the quieter ones but not had a lot to do with Supersprints.I priced up a Powerflow cat back system for mine the other week and the guy quoted me £475 ish because it has two pipes running down the car instead of one?I thought these exhausts used to be cheap. At the end of the day the decision is all yours but I would favour the Magnex.

I used to have a scorpion exhaust on a Ford Sierra and it was very loud. My friends were convinced it was blowing when I first put it on and I did get stopped by the Police once because of the noise although I talked them round. It sounded great when driving down a narrow street or through a tunnel though. I would definately have one again although they may be a bit loud for some.

i have a powerflow (from topgear) and couldn't be happier although some would say it's a little loud. originally it was de-catted (and yes even i thought it was too loud) but with a new cat put on i think it sounds great on acceleration.

I know it doesn't help much, but I have a Remus can on my 'bike and it's just what I wanted - a deeper sound without being much louder overall.  From what I've read, Scorpion exhausts are very loud, not my cup of tea at all.

Steve.
