 hi all noticed last night when i first start car up rev counter is up about 1 - 1.5 x 100 & even after car engine is fully warmed up rev counter still sits at 1000 rpm thought might be sticky throtle so lubed all joint's & cables but still the same now revs  have sterted to fluctuate when idleing ???? also thought might be choke not cutting of when warmed up , looked in " haynes" book but nothing in there about the choke ??? HELP !!! PLEASE  !!!!

Mine is a 320 it does it sometimes too, if you blip the throttle it brings it back down to normal, probably a dirty idle control valve (ICV), i would think.
