series 2. just got married at the tender(ish) age of 24 so i was still in to boys toys.  just thought it was time i started to grow up a bit as i was settling down.

at least it keeps the wife happy.

good thing with the 535 is you can drive it all nice and calm when the ball and chain is with you and when she's not, make it go like stink!!!

lol!! top man!!  i've not stepped the back out yet with her in the car so she still likes it at the minute.

it's really raining here at the moment and i managed to swing the back out on my way home from work. my god was it a seat of the pants gripper!!!

just wish i could have seen it from the outside. a ton and a half of motor going sideways down the road

that was the only thing that was putting me off buying this one.  it's covered 149k but has got a good service history, either main dealer or bexley motor works and is hpi clear.

cheers that's good to hear.  there were a few out there with well over 250k on the clock.

yup wheels come with the car. i think they are the new e46 convertible wheels. only replicas though (i think) as they are only 17's. still they do the trick.

Floody - cheers. might change them at some point down the line as i like the m5 deep dish ones but i'd want a genuine set so they'll set me back a few quid!!!

bmwe34sport - thanks.  i'm really please with the car.  it's a manual and spec'd up to so i was well chuffed to find it.  still i was actually looking for an e30 325 sport but the prices were a bit steep so i just done a search on the auto traser website for a 5 series sport and this one popped up.

thanks. car's on an h plate and it was up at a garage for £2700.  managed to get it for £2400 in the end.

insurance isn't too sad. my company just done a straight swap over for the rest of the year and this years premium was £683 full comp on my series 2 rst.

i've done some quotes on the net and elephant worked out at £611 full comp with protected no claims and an excess of £150. not amazingly cheap but not too bad i thought for a car with a book top end of 146mph!!
