power figures i got from the usa are 310 bhp at the fly ,

340 pounds per foot at the fly

286 bhp at the rear wheels

310 pounds per foot of tourque at the wheels

i know usa may be abit diffrent but should be pretty close i have a 540i and it is brilliant pull's and pull's like a steam train but cruises at 30 mph like it's a 2 liter cant go wrong

Very nice car. Plenty quick too.

All I can help you with is that it has a 4.4 ltr V8 with 286 bhp and a 0-60 of about 6.5 seconds and a limited top speed of 155mph. Probably would have been my second choice of car.

Hi i just joined today and i have a few questions.. I am going looking for a new car next week and i have my heart set on the 2000ish 540 sport (manual) ..is this a good choice? and are there any parts out there to fit this car eg engine mods.. I can't seem to find any performance figures for the car but presume it must be pretty quick having such a big engine!

Any feedback would be helpful thanks
