Any 840Ci owners out there?

   This is a general question I've also posted in the Coupes forum but...my father in law is considering buying an 840Ci sport, 97, 34k miles, FBMWSH, from a decent dealer. I'm an E36 M3 Evo man myself and ignorant on 8s - is there anything he should know about these cars pre-buying - any tips or suggestions much appreciated. Some say running costs are ridiculous (ie more than Sevens); is this true? What to watch for? Any tips much appreciated!
