hi all i have been trying to get my a/c working but can't get power to my compressor.so i have linked out the two connectors to tell the computer that there is gas in it and run a cable to the compressor to see if it works and it does.but when i plugged the normal cable back it wont run.now i found a cable which was frayed and touching the body work have sorted that but still no joy.does anyone think it might have blown a relay and do you know where it is.all fuses are ok. hot and bothered.

You really shouldn't run the compressor unless you are sure there is gas in the system !...If you are sure it is fully gassed then it could be a faulty relay which controls the compressor clutch, i believe the relay is in the auxilliary relay panel in the engine compartment along with the 2 auxilliary fan relays. If you are not sure if the system is gassed I would highly recommend getting it checked by an Air Con specialist as you could do major damage to the whole system by running the compressor with a low/no refrigerant charge.
