Does anyone know of what recalls the e34 underwent (preferably the 540i) or a website where i could find them.I tried looking at BMW's webby but that was useless.

Cheers for any info

A good site to use for recalls is usually honestjohn.co.uk

It's a spin off from the telegraph newspapers.

The link below should take you to the e34, however, unlike other cars, (check out range rovers and the volvo 850) there are only 2 noted recalls.

Perhaps it's not as up to date as I'm led to believe, or perhaps the e34 is just that good a car.

A further source of recall information has just been advised to me.  The DVLA have their own recall website.

For the 5's it only goes back to '92 but it's of some use I would guess.

Hello all 5 owners,

I owned a 1991 E34 520i 24v, this was recalled in 1999 for replacement radiator cap.Not many,if any manufacturers would recall after that length of time. I was the 2nd owner.

I agree with radiator cap recall. German car companies seem to be on the ball. I had a "B" reg golf GTI 6 years ago and they recalled my car the day after the heater matrix exploded sending clouds of white steam inside the car!
