Hi everybody

I've just bought my first Beamer she is an E39 98 S 523i SE.

I wish to change one of the rear tyres and want to use my trolley jack.

Where can I jack her up at the rear (and Front) with a trolley jack?

Last car was a Vx Senator and the rear was jacked up by placing a trolley jack under the rear axle cross member chassis mountings.  Front was a large chassis member = piece of cake.

I am unfamiliar with the BMW rear chassis structure (and front), so any help would be greatly received.

I have had a quick look under her and she has little black plastic inserts stuck on the sill for the wheel changing jack to slot into.  If I take these off can I stick a piece of wood on top of my trolley jack and lift her at the same point?

Andrew
