My heated rear window takes about 20 mintues to clear. All the elements are intact it just seems to be underpowered, if that makes sense! Any clues?

Test the resistance across the heated element. It should be a couple of Ohms at the most. Then test the voltage across the two connectors (12v at least).

Post the results and we'll take it from there.I have the wiring diagram from BMW if your car is an E36.

My E34 rear window isnt as quick as other cars I've owned, but always worth checking the ground connection, any extra resistance there is always going to cause a problem

10 15 mins seems excessive, my E30 window is clear in under 5 mins, perhaps its worth checking the points posted above???
