Correct me if I'm wrong, but the panel under the drivers side dashboard (below the steering column) that hides the ECU etc, should have a small plastic fastener that screws into the lower steering column shroud, shouldn't it? -------------

| yep. its a light grey piece of plastic which locates the shroud. |
