Anybody know what the little round plastic lump on the dash just below the clock on an e30 is? got little grooves in it and looks like an ultrasonic sensor for a car alarm. -------------

it's a speaker, it makes a BING sound when the outside temp is 0 ------------- 1989 325i SE |

Is that only on the se with the computer? unfortunately i have not got one. Also are the switchs for the fog lights supposed to have a lit window above them as it looks like it should be. -------------

| The computer gong sound comes from a speaker mounted in the dash under panel on the drivers side. The little slotted device on the heater panel houses a temp. sensor when air-con. is fitted. The little windows above the fog light switches should illuminate when the ignition is on. |

on the subject of noises, is there a warning sound for when you leave your lights on when the ignition is turned off?. mine doesnt make a sound just wondered really as i always forget!!!!! cheers ------------- '91 E30 320i 2 door auto |
