Well what can i say

Another massive turnout by the Scottish Massive

Big thanks to Goldryder and Rhys for making the Trip up North also.

We all met up at The Brewster's Restaurant

Badentoy Road,Portlethen .The southern mob came in Convoy around 1245pm

We had a great line up of cars again and some new faces to go with them.

We then went off inside where i had reserved some tables, and were treated very well (defo go back there me thinks)

Duncan did the honers this time and took everyones orders,And a great job he did

After our meal most of us had a convoy out to Stonehaven Harbour for some pics.

We lined up the cars as best as we could,This seemed to draw crouds of tourists our way who i think looked well impressed with the cars (esspecialy the Z8)

Thanks again for all those that made this another great Scottish day out

See you all again soon (Remember Abdn lads and lasses the Hawes inn 28th Nov)

Total distance: 305.3 miles (491.2 km )
Total estimated time: 7 hours and 24 min
Average speed of 30 Miles/h on national and country roads.
Average speed of 60 Miles/h on motorways.

went onto rac route-finder, just to find out how far and how long. last time I did a couple of hours journey, my ave speed was 60 (on computer) including town and m-way.

Bit too far, so I won't be going I'm afraid..

Sorted the hotel accommodation today, decided against travelling up to and from Scotland in 40 hrs with only a handful of hours there.  Got myself booked into a posh looking place in Inverness, Royal Highland Hotel.  So now arriving north of the border on the Saturday morning and leaving on the Monday evening, giving me plenty of time to suss out the local estate agents and the area too, plus I won't look too cream crackered at the meet on the Sunday

I am taking coach from Southampton via London Victoria to Inverness overnight on the 29th, arriving in Inverness on the 30th and returning on the 1st November from Inverness via London Victoria to Southampton, reaching home on the Tuesday morning.  Stephen is still providing the transportation to/from the meet on the Sunday, which is very appreciated.

Basically I decided on Inverness as my base as its the area I am looking into living in and its much easier for Stephen to get home from after the meet seeing as he has work to go to the next morning.

Take off point seems fine to me JF, the big M may be sold by the meeting so it may not make it.

I'd love to come up, but alas no chance.

The scottish region has always seemed the best to me, and it was great to meet the boys at gaydon, to say nothing of copping an eyeful of mell in the flesh !

But I've just had a week off work with the hand op, and its the end of half term for the kids down here ( that weekend ), so I would have to have them back down here for the monday morning.

My old e34 will be making an apearance, my mate who bought it says that he fancies turning up. For a 15 year old motor it is realy nice, even if I say so myself.

Gary, some of us were already meeting at Kinross at 10.15, but it would be easier for everyone to meet at Stirling.

It will also mean those of us coming from Edinburgh area can avoid the Forth Road Bridge repairs (and save 80p: must have picked up an Aberdonain virus).

So....see you there at 10.00am.

Do we get an extra hour in bed because the clocks are changing or even more reductions to my precious sleep time?

John F

OK John..... So for us lowlanders, we are meeting up at Stirling services at 10:00 hrs and then heading off about 10:15 / 10:30 hrs, so John does'nt need to spend 80p.

Leave you name here or PM me to let me know who is all meeting up.

Pete, well done mate looks like being our biggest meet of the year. How many do you think are going?

If there is anyone going to the meet on Sunday who wants a Kenwood KRC-391 head unit, faceoff c/w box and 6 disc changer, or knows of anyone who might want one, please can you let me know by midnight tomorrow and I'll pack it and bring it up with me on the coach. Have to let me know by tomorrow midnight as I won't be online on Friday evening cos I'll be on my way up to Inverness. Its only been installed in my old car, Toyota Supra Turbo and the 635, doesn't have cradle or book but is easy to refit. PM me if interested, cheers
