One of the Forum Codes which is listed when configuring a signature is the text pair, where n=1-6. But this doesn't seem to work; no matter what value of n I use, the text is the same size ...

I tried it there with mine and it worked fine - managed to get different text sizes. Looking at your signature above you have two diffeerent sizes (Phlilp is about 4 or 5 and 1995 ///M5... is about sze 2)

Hmmm - interesting.

On my browser (IE6 SP1 running under Windows XP) the text on either side of the picture is the same size; whereas your browser (Opera?) seems to be showing the "Philip" on the left in larger text than the "1995 ///M5 3.8 6-speed Avus Blue" on the right (which is how I had tried to set my signature up).

What does everyone else see? (Please let me know what browser and operating system you are using.)

Te text size is set by default to a fixed size (9pixels) in the forum whereas the word 'Philip' is set to use a different measurement setting to be size 3 which makes it look bigger (sounds confusing but there are two methods of setting text size).

Anyway the fixed size is as it suggests - fixed and cannot be resized whereas the other way can so i can actually make 'Philip' smaller than the rest by going to View / Text Size in MSIE (or others)

See if this changes yours

No difference - I can use View | Text Size at any size from Smallest to Largest, but all the text (i.e., the body and the text on either side of my signature) changes and all 3 are always the same size.

FWIW, here's what's in my signature ...

the code for your first message is below - the text is guided by a size dictated by the class="text" part of line 1 which gives it 12px size (not 9 as I mentioned).

The word Philip (on line separated by blank line above and below) is the only part using a change of size (to HTML size 3).

When I change the text size using MSIE 5.5 the only text on the page to change size is the word Philip in your sig. Maybe it is something to do with MSIE 6+
