A mate of mine and I are thinking about doing this,
on the cheap of course. Up at the crack of dawn
(lovely lady), at Dover for 3am, Calais by 5am and a 3
hour drive to Spa. In the past we've booked 1 double
room with about 5 pair of smelly feet ending up on
the floor/shower/corridor. Most hotels have a couple
of spare rooms so there's rarely a drama. Up good
and early next morning for the 1 hour drive to
Nurburgring and have a squirt about until you get
bored (yeah, right....). Make a move for Calais when
they kick us out.

Totally unorganised other that checking to see if both
circuits are open for business over the planned
weekend (i.e when both tracks are open).

There will of course be excessive drinking on Sat
night and spot prizes for the person who looks most
like a freshly born Gerbil the morning after.

Sound like a laugh?

Not sure mate; the problem seems to be getting
onto Spa without being iovolved in a megabucks
trackday. I've emailed a couple of folks over there -
April is probably best to stand a chance of vaguely
decent weather.

Might give Spa a miss and do Hockenheim and
'Ring instead, or get a ferry to Holland and do
Zandvoort as my mate knows some of the
instructors there.

We shall keep you all posted!

Unfortunately that date clashes with Croft in the U.K.
The trouble with Spa is that it is impossible to get in
touch with anyone there as there is no email
address on the website except for the bloody tourist
board.
We want to just turn up and drive - is that possible at
Spa?

sprechen sie deutcsh? .. nah, neither do I ...  but it normally helps.

Maybe if you ring a local BMW garage/car club near the ring and ask them what the craic is.
