Hi

The recent thread on an e39 alarm fault got me thinking. When I arm the alarm on my 2000 523 it does just that! Arms it and locks it. Ideally I'd like the indicators to flash as per my e34. Sometimes when I'm indoors, I cannot actually see the interior mirror and the red light under it. It would help if the indicators flashed on arming so i could see for sure I've locked / armed the alarm from in the house. Lazy I know but when you get to 40 the legs start to go a bit.

Anyone know the procedure to change the arming characteristics or is it a dealer job? It will be going in for an Oil Service soon so i could get them to do it then but it would be nice to know how to do it.

Cheers

Trevor

only the dealer can adjust alarm settings and indicators flashing for the alarm.
