When putting side draft carbs on a 2002.  What do you do with the cooling system(internal heater) pipes that went through the intake manifold.

Without, of course, purchasing an expensive bit of pipe from BMW.

You need a straight adaptor to join up the existing hoses which differ slightly in length.

I had one made by local Engineering firm for a small fee.

yes I have found a bit of flexable hose and generic pipe adaptors work a treat. 

The top pipe out of the back of the sensor housing was bunged using a Rosemount wine bottle cork, (or plastic cork substitute).
