I was supposed to be going snowboarding at the weekend but we couldn't go in the end as it was snow bound so the gates were closed bla bla details.......

So determined not to waste the day I waxed my car after a nice jetwash at Dee Bridge on Leggert Terrace (Aberdeen).

I finally got to use the Meguirs NXT stuff I bought a while ago.  I used one of the Meguirs applicator pads as well.  Top job well impressed.  Hopefully give it another coat this weekend if weather permits.

Thats a great jet wash! In the wee indoor bays there! Do you not find that silver doesnt polish up very noticably?

yeh ace jet wash that owner must be coining it in.  It's always busy day or night.  and yes dark colours like black come up lovelly.  but it was good to put a nice skin on her.  it feels silky smooth to touch and the rain today it pouring off it in beads.  glad i did it.

I'm just waiting for a decent day now, so i can give it the works, clay bar & all, haven't used it yet.

Silverbeastie, did the polish go on ok with the applicator pads? Does anyone find it easier if they wet or dampen the applicators first?

I haven't used these yet either, but i usually dampen the cloth & find it easier to put the polish on.

Planning to give the E28 a dose of the three stage system, glad to hear it's easy to use. Sadly it will probably rain every saturday for the next couple of months. Oh, for the want of a garage!

used the meguires clay bar this weekend, can't recommend it enough. took off most of the contaminents fairly quickly leaving the paint smooth as. Tar spots was it's week spot though, there's something not right when you have to press clay firmly against scratch free paintwork!. So i used autoglyms tar remover instead. The finish was glass like after the waxing
