Yes it's true, as some of you already know i will be distributing UUC's products throughout Europe within the next couple of weeks.

I have been in contact with them for quite some time now with the hope of being up and running for the new year, unfortunately the speed of progress in this country is painfully slowin this regard.

Anyway back to business. I will be offering the full range of UUC products for retail and wholesale to interested parties. I would be hoping to have enough stock within the next 12 months to be able to offer BMW products for most models off the shelf. I will be trading as Bob's Shack.com and my website and email should be up and running shortly with € pricing of products that are currently in stock.

My aim is to offer a top quality product and service to all who are interested in the BMW marque, which we are badly in need of in this country at present. Personally i grow tired of trawling the net, calculating exchange rates, waiting on shipping and paying extortionate taxes simply because i want an alternative product.

I probably left out loads of details but i will be keeping you updated on proceedings. I am hoping to provide you all with a quality, alternative, one stop solution for all your tuning requirements.

Please check http://www.uucmotorwerks.com - http://www.uucmotorwerks.com  for product info.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about any of the products.

My mobile 087 4122 134

Regards,

Robbie.

At last Robbie I don't have to keep the secret of your new venture, Best of luck in your new business and I hope you get aload of support from this Club for your products, talk to you at Mondello.

I can vouch for UUC products already as I have a UUC short shifter fitted to my car and it is top notch stuff and the stuff they produce is of excellent quality and to a fantastic high standard.

Again Robbie best of Luck, you might have to put a stand up at Bimmerfest in Belfast

So It's official then!

Who's gonna have a fully equipped UUC shortly?

It's good to have new comers, it might move a bit the market that tends to think it's ok to charge 2 or 3 times the cost price!

Nice one, i have a UUC motorwerkes weighted gearknob on my coupe, gives a really nice smooth shift. Unfortunately when i bought it, the previous owner had opted for the ///M badge (which i believe he paid extra for!) Is it possible to get the UUC badge which it is supposed to come with? I think it looks much nicer.

Thanks & Best of Luck

Neil

Why do you need the gear display on the gearknob anyway nobody looks at it when changing gear. Or is that the one that has the light in it, they look better anyway

No - no lights on it, just a big round scratch in the cetre of the one thats on it at the moment that bothers me.

I'm a bit funny about things like that, its a six speed so I'd like it to match.  BTW they must be really cold onthe hands on a  January morning?

Anyway I'm more interested in the EVO 3 short shifter kit although I am not sure how this would work on the M3 as I think its a short shift kit already on the 6 speed Getrag (or is it).  But the original is very notchy and I think I need to get used to it some more but I am wondering if this kit would smooth it out.  Might be money better spent.

Anyone fitted a short shift kit to an M3 Evo?

I have a non Evo 3 UUC sort shift on my car with a ACS gearknob and the cold mornings were not any problem just get in to top gear and forget about the rest, in the Summer its the opposite and it can get very hot if you car is parked all day in the sun, but who cares. A mate of mine had one in his old E46 M3 and loved it and then got a E46 M3 with SMG and hated the SMG and is ordering a new E46 M3 manual

Did he have the complete short shift kit on the E46? I do like the leather feel on the shift but TBH on I more curious about how the shift itself feels, smoother, less notchy, more natural flow rather than having to focus on the change?

A certain air of inevitabillity about this post i'm afraid.

Unfortunately Things don't always go according to plan as i have found out lately.

The launch of my venture has been put back to the first week in May, which means my first shipment of stock will be arriving soon after.....hence my initial reluctance to post my plans and leave potential customers to wait longer to receive their products.

I have had great interest in the products so far and to everyone who contacted me by PM let me reasure you that the products you expressed an interest in are on order. As i have said before, as soon as the products arrive i will contact you all.

Sorry for the delay but c'est la vie!

......stay tuned.

Cheers,

Robbie.

I'm hope to develope this a part of the business to offer a complete service from purchase to fitting etc. I will be talking to someone in the town about the possibility of doing some work for me, maybe an after hours service. Once i get the products (if ever!) i'll be using him to give me a hand fitting the stuff to my own car and it'll give him an idea of what i'll be doing, we'll just have to see how everything works out!

This could be the week that Bob's Shack opens up to the rest of us. Is there going to be a big party for the Grand Opening Robbie

I can already hear the radio ads with shouty aussie voiceover (in a Go Harvey Go! stylee) to the tune of The B-52's 'Love Shack' cunningly reworked so the chorus goes "Bob's Shack, Bob's shack baby yeah!"

When's the opening Robbie? Methinks a mini meet could be in order.

What no response from Mr Bob Shack must be hanging up those pics of his and painting his shack for the big day

The RSC36 is causing the delay. I have spoken to UUC yesterday and they will hopefully they will ship part of the order, i'll be putting the pressure on today so hopefully they can give me a definite answer on this. I hate the way this is dragging on

I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end

Just got off the phone with UUC.

They are packing some stuff for shipment today, it's not the full order unfortunately but it's a start. I have details of what's on the first load and as soon as i get confirmation on shipping i should have an idea when the stock will be on our shores.

So at lastm we have some movement!
