Hi guys,

Just discovered the forum so I thought I would join with a view to helping/meeting/getting involved with people local to me. I am from Newton Aycliffe in Co. Durham, not sure if any one is local to me? I have spent most of my time on the BMW Car Magazine forum.....until now

I drive a Sapphire Black 2004 e46 325ci Sport Convertible. Usually seen cruising the area or on the A1 travelling between Washington and Darlington.

Nice motor, I like it alot.

Would look even better with some ACS mirrors on there.

NO!  Leave it as standard, it looks nice enough as it is!

Why would he want to tacky up a new 3-series cab with ACS bits!

Leave the ACS bits to ACS cars.  I spotted the window transfers mind you, but I think they're passable....

Ahh yes the 'powered by' transfers

Only mods are the clubsport front splitters. I am undecided about a boot lip spoiler. I quite like the look of the vert with the alpina 3-piece lip spoiler.

Err .. possibly because they look good ? .. and BMW OEM mirrors are bloody ugly!

Purely my personal opinion.  I think adding ACS bits to a non-ACS car is just a bit chavlike.

I find it the same as the up-badging on models.  I just don't understand it.

Each to their own of course, and I fully respect that.

No, its the BMW tax disc holder that the car came with. Supplying dealer was Preston Hall.

Fair point coasting

But I i prefer to call it individuality rather than "chav" .. putting crap looking Race Tech carbon bits on, may well be Chav, but those of us who want to set thier cars apart from the rest do it professionally and choose styling products approved by BMW, be they Hartge / ACS /  etc.

Hi Grahame,

I will let you know about the beer in darlo  as for the Whitby run, I am dragging the Mrs along again. The weather forecast doesn't look too bad for Sunday.

I came back from York on Sunday via. Pickering, Whitby and Redcar. Was a good run but the weather was not too good....typical Bank Holiday!

It'll be nice to see you all on Sunday, even if it's just to Helmsley.

Cliff, we've started looking for an alternative meeting place along the Sunderland - Washington latitude so we can attract some more members from south of the Geordie - Macam line. In the meantime we're meeting at the Seaton Burn Holiday Inn next Wednesday at 8:00pm.

Hi Andrew,

I am not sure I will be able to make next Wednesday, I think I am away with work. If i cant, I will definitely be at the next one. I saw some of the suggestions for a new venue, anything south of the Tyne would be good for me

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
