Hey guys, i know the correct answer to this question is buy a more powerfull car! (someday i'll get an m3)

But heres the question:
Can a 318 head be put straight in as a replacement for a 316 head? The thought was prompted by topazman over at the irish forum... so blame him if its an urban myth.

If so it would seem like a nice simple performance boost.

It will only boost performance if it is a better head than the 316. It may be indentical and the only differenence between the 316 and 318 may only be the capacity of the cylinders?

Who knows? not me that's for sure! Big Smile

However as a guess I would doubt that it would make much difference.
