OK, I currently own an Audi S3, and an E30 M3. The M3 spends most of its time in the garage (comes out on "nice" weekends), the S3 is my everyday ride.

I bought the S3 just under a year ago, it replaced my E36 Evo Convertible, which in turn replaced my E36 3.0 M3 Coupe. As much as I love my 273BHP S3, I'm thinking of selling it as I want another E36 M3.

Being a bit "flash" I'm thinking of another Evo convertible. Problem is though, if I get a convertible what reason would I have to get the E30 out on those "nice weekends"?

So now I'm thinking I should sell my E30 M3 and replace it with an E30 M3 convertible, and buy an E36 M3 Coupe. And if I'm doing that, I'm thinking I might go for another 3.0, not the Evo (as I found it to be the stronger car).

Ah man, I just don't know...

Sorry , but I had to laugh. If you had an E36 M3 convertible, then I think you'd have every reason to get the real M3 out to drive

Hi

I have a convertible M3 and a E30 M3 and I still find plenty reasons to take the E30 out for a blast.

Chris.

Hmm.... would be nice to have such choices, tough decision eh?

If I were you I'd hang on to the E30 M3 and get an E36 convertable.

The E30 M3's were always best with a tin-top anyway, and while the convertable will be nice in sunny weather, you cannot beat those B Road blasts in the M.

Now where's my car keys, I feel a blat coming on!

Whats the point in having 2 M3s (regardless of shape) If you must keep the E30 in the garage, get something completely different for your other car. Personally always been partial to a Saab 900 Convertible

Saab 900 Convertible? The one I went in had very nasty scuttle shake, so much so that my friend, the owner, sold it after 6 months. Unless you've got very good roads where you are Rich I wouldn't even think about one.

why not get the E36 vert M3 and spend some cash prepping the E30 for track, not OTT tho, just subtle mods that could be removed easilly?

My daily hack is now a Honda Accord Type R, with the M3 for very occasional use!

Do not dismiss the Honda - anybody looking for a daily car with some rarity, stunning performance and some street cred test drive a used approved one at your local Honda dealer. Its so good in fact im debating the need for an M3 at all...
