Fifty quid's worth you mean (assuming they're 735i's) I saw a C reg white 732i being ripped apart and cubed at Smith's Metal yard in Bloxham on Monday. The guy who operates the crane can remove the bonnet in one go, and it was amusing to see him pulling the engine and gearbox out. He grabbed it with the crane by the engine and was tossing the car about like a rag doll until the mountings broke and shell fell to earth with a thud. Seriously, these car crushers are amazing things to watch in action. Another E23 gone, just another 500 to go

Hate seeing cars going to the crusher, might not be much wrong with them - but the owner may not have the room and so has to get rid for one reason or another.
What a shame. There's absolutely no need for comments like that from Von Paulus and Andyboy. What sort of pleasure do you get from slating these cars on an enthusiasts forum lads? Perverse probably. Saw a lovely e23 735i in Bishopsgate when I was delivering last night, Could hardly hear the engine...superb. Did Hackney store on my second run and saw another in the Homerton Rd. credit - they'd spot the same IP address a mile off. IP means 'INTERNET PROVIDER" btw. "Frag" is a word used by computer bods meaning crap on a hard drive. I also fail to see the relevance of a picture of a couple of old E23's. I mean - so what? There are four in my local scrapyard, wouldn't waste internet space with a picture with no explanation. |

OK you might not like the 23 but some obviously do, its called horses for courses. andyboy, its not your fault you dont like e23s. and nothing wrong with e24s, lovely cars great looks etc. but we like our £50 motors its great.hiabboy also thinks they are super cars when you talk to him face to face. so we will keep talking about bargains and our ebay antics etc as nobody will stop us so tough. its a shame you dont join us. dont be shy, will find a desent car for you. ------------- only the vauxhall is the greatest car |

Come on Andy, if you don't like what is discussed on this section of the forum, why bother commenting?
The reason that the e23 is discussed is because WE camp here to discuss the e23, in the same we had the same conversations on the late lamented e32register. If you want to discuss something regards the e32/38 then put up a post about them instead of trashing the items we chat about! This is also not the place to have a pop at the way others spell or make personal remarks regards things that happen outside in the real world! |

My dig at Mark's spelling was out of order - sorry Mark. My other remark was to prod someone's concience, no apologies. I hate timewasters. Hiabboy made a concious decision to save this car from the crusher, only to have idiots like this messing him about. It's just not fair - is it? Anyone going to Hestercombe Gardens tomorrow?

I love all BM's My dream car is a e24 a e23 is the next best thing and
is a lot chepper to inchour for me than a e24 and more cabin space and
