Sorry, but what exactly is this post about apart from a
blurred picture of £7 worth of frag?

Fifty quid's worth you mean (assuming they're 735i's)

I saw a C reg white 732i being ripped apart and
cubed at Smith's Metal yard in Bloxham on Monday.
The guy who operates the crane can remove the
bonnet in one go, and it was amusing to see him
pulling the engine and gearbox out. He grabbed it
with the crane by the engine and was tossing the car
about like a rag doll until the mountings broke and
shell fell to earth with a thud. Seriously, these car
crushers are amazing things to watch in action.

Another E23 gone, just another 500 to go

Hate seeing cars going to the crusher, might not be much wrong with them - but the owner may not have the room and so has to get rid for one reason or another.
What a shame.
Can'r understand why cetain people on here slate E23's, from what I've read so far, you get a lot of car for little money - sounds good to me.

There's absolutely no need for comments like that from Von Paulus and Andyboy. What sort of pleasure do you get from slating these cars on an enthusiasts forum lads? Perverse probably. Saw a lovely e23 735i in Bishopsgate when I was delivering last night, Could hardly hear the engine...superb. Did Hackney store on my second run and saw another in the Homerton Rd. Could it have been the same one!!

Must agree with you there AG. The word 'frag' gave it away.

I'm Andyboy and no-one else. Give the mods some
credit - they'd spot the same IP address a mile off.

IP means 'INTERNET PROVIDER" btw.

"Frag" is a word used by computer bods meaning
crap on a hard drive.

I also fail to see the relevance of a picture of a couple
of old E23's. I mean - so what? There are four in my
local scrapyard, wouldn't waste internet space with a
picture with no explanation.

The idea, from what I could see anyway, was a pic of two identical cars parked in a supermarket carpark...'buy one, get one free'...which is a popular thing in alot of shops these days...wasn't so much about the type of car, just the fact there was a matched pair and in a supermarket.

Sorry, can I have that in English please?

No, I can't stand E23's. I ***** hate them. So it's
kind of annoying that this section of the forum has
been hijacked by you lot talking endlessly about fifty
quid Ebay rubbish to the exclusion of everything else.
Can you imagine an E38 owner looking at this lot?
Try and look at it from someone else's viewpoint.

Why not try raising the game a little and discussing
something else? Like an E32, or, God forbid, an
E38. Or maybe they're just bland modern crap to
you?

Andyboy, perhaps a little more consideration and less antagonism would go a long way.

OK you might not like the 23 but some obviously do, its called horses for courses.

Its obvious that you don't care about being unpopular, thats fine cos thats your choice, by the same token people like the 23..again its their choice, not yours to judge.

Talking of popular, did you send Hiabboy the cheque
for the 735i in the end?

No, thought not. He was really annoyed that you
didn't even bother to say 'no thanks' after promising
that you'd have it. Manners Maketh Man and Costeth
Nothing, as the good book says!

This is why that car will end up being crushed.

andyboy, its not your fault you dont like e23s. and nothing wrong with e24s, lovely cars great looks etc. but we like our £50 motors its great.hiabboy also thinks they are super cars when you talk to him face to face. so we will keep talking about bargains and our ebay antics etc as nobody will stop us so tough. its a shame you dont join us. dont be shy, will find a desent car for you.

Goldryder - comment aimed at the individual who
owns a couple of scrap Senators, who messed Hiab
about something rotten with countless emails,
promised to send a cheque as a deposit and then
refused to answer emails when it didnt materialise.

I know who this is.

Sorry but it's just rubbish behaviour. After all, it's not
Hiab's fault the individual concerned is a dreamer
with no $$$$$

Rob! NOOOOOO!!! I've had E23's as cheap bangers
in the past. Never again thanks. Rust! Welding!
Power brake balls leaking! Damp Dog smell!

Only a white 745i with red leather, foreign plates and
Joan Collins on the logbook as a
previous would make me wet for a 'twenny free'.

Surely this is a private matter tween the individuals concerned and therefore not something to be posted in a public forum.

Come on Andy, if you don't like what is discussed on this section of the forum, why bother commenting?
The reason that the e23 is discussed is because WE camp here to discuss the e23, in the same we had the same conversations on the late lamented e32register.

If you want to discuss something regards the e32/38 then put up a post about them instead of trashing the items we chat about!

This is also not the place to have a pop at the way others spell or make personal remarks regards things that happen outside in the real world!

But you'd miss me really! (Not really! Howard)
My dig at Mark's spelling was out of order - sorry
Mark.

My other remark was to prod someone's concience,
no apologies. I hate timewasters. Hiabboy made a
concious decision to save this car from the crusher,
only to have idiots like this messing him about. It's
just not fair - is it?

Anyone going to Hestercombe Gardens tomorrow?

Not sure I can be bothered. See what the weather's
like I suppose.

I started the topic as a joke aimed at myself as I currently own two landfill/frag Polaris E23's. I apologise for wasting forum space.

I have PM'd Nigel asking him to delete my post but he has not answered.

Rhys/Nigel/kbannon - please delete this topic. many thanks.

You shouldn't have to delete this or anything else just cos of an outburst from one person Philip. Most of us got the joke, and despite the lack of sense of humour from Andy, there is no 'waste of forum space' here IMHO.

Im not deleting this topic. Personally I think the two cars are in great nick and am quite envious of Philip.

I will however, make a few comments about it.
Andyboy: As you appear to be familiar about various internet boards, then you will also realise the common rule about not criticising other peoples grammar. (You did apologise but Im merely pointing it out for others).
If you don't like particular models of BMW or any other car then you are entitled to say so but you don't need to go on the offensive about it.
If you are aware of a private issue then maybe keep it that way. Whatever issure there may be between Hiabboy or anyone else shouldn't be aired in public (at least not here)!
IP stands for Internet Protocol by the way!

VonPaulus: you have been warned about flaming!
