Im looking to get my m6 insured in the next month as Im probably driving down to le mans in it. The last time i tried to cover it the insurer wanted me to put a cat 1 thatcham immobiliser on it or they wouldn't cover it. I dont want to do that so has anyone found a company who do classic insurance who don't require this and who include european breakdown recovery!?

Cheers

Give Frizzell Insurance (part of Liverpool Victoria) a call.

They've insured my standard Six for ages, and weren't fussy about the three alarms / immobilisers being non-Thatcham....

Ah..... no harm in asking them anyway. Our VW Vento doesn't have an alarm either, and Frizzell happily covered that!
