How do BMW's V12's cope with high mileages if looked after? There's one on ebay at 217k with what sounds like a good history.

I currently use a Volvo V70R and that has 215k's on the clock.

AG bought his car with the starship mileage already on it! its a lovely car BTW. very striking colour, pics plse AG.

Johan is the V12 man, I hope he will tell us they do 400k before they are fully run-in. a lovely engine (if not abused of course).

is AG after a sexy e31?

this is because andyboy has weaned AG off smelly old landfill BM's

I believe the V12s go on forever and are much simpler than the modern 3.5 and 4.4 V8s

The M30 is supposed to be good for 300k miles (mine is 2/3 of the way there) and I imagine a well looked after V12 should do the same or more.  The electrics will wear out before the metalwork does.

One of our lot on the 7 register is bidding for that ebay motor btw...

Chas, are you & the 7 lads on both 7 forums? I'm confused, do we need two 7 forums offering the much the same services & content?

Long story .  But essentially the same bunch are on both forums.  However, now that both forums are free from subscription it does seem a bit silly to have two but it does provide a bit of variety!  The frustration comes when people post the same queries (or same drivel) on both...

I drop into this one when I'm on the Scottish regional section of the BMWCC forum.
