I have a 1996 328i convertible with a stereo system that has seen it's better days. All the speakers are blown and go in and out. I had an audio place tell me that I have two factory amps powering the system at 1ohm. They said that it will cost a lot to replace the speakers because this is one of only 200 made with this type of stereo system. I have a BMW deck with an Alpine 6 disc changer that was factory  installed. Can someone out there shed some light on whether or not I'm being fed a line here? I'm looking at 850 to rewire and replace all speakers.
