Sorry guys, only just seen this thread! I only check the central region as we come under central and not South West.

Leigh, we have a date set for our next meet as Sunday, August 7th.

Usual meeting point at Dowlais Top at about 1100am.

It would be nice to have a sp evo there Paul!

Simon, where is Dowlais Top? I would love to be there, I can't make any promises though, as I stillll havn't got the SE back from the bodyshop yet, don't like chasing them though, but may have to now.

Paul, Dowlais Top is near Merthyr Tydfil, we meet at the Asda's just off the A465. It's nice and easy to get to.

Blimey that brings back memorys, back in 1976 was when I first went to that exact spot when it was a large muddy wasteland, how do i know it was that well I was doing the scaffolding on ASda for the steelwokers to carry on  & we started building it around then & it was the year of the heatwave.

Plus while I was there working away from home there was a girl from a place called Mayors Square I think it was , we lads to have a caravan up there to live in during the week & these girls would pop up & see us to give us a nice welcome

Just got back, and had a great time, thanks.

It was nice to meet you all, although I didn't think we would see a police car parked with us in Asda. He seemed a nice chap, and I have met a few police men who have been enthusiasts. I have been stopped before now in my old e28 M535i on the M4 between A470 turning and Cardiff. I was speeding (85mph) but he had been following me for a while, I never knew it was a police car (dark) but just before cardiff he stopped me. "Is that a genuine M535i? I used to have a 528iSE, blah, blah, blah" Another time in my old M3 in town, I was just plodding along, then blue lights and..."I havn't seen one of these for ages, I thought I'd stop you and have a look..don't worry, you have done nothing wrong" Both times we had a fairly lengthly chat about the cars, and never got done for anything.

I never expected the turnout either, I though there would only be 3 or 4 of us, but I think we did crack into double figures.

Simon, you got to polish those rims!  You'll keep'em clean! Your car looked well clean, and so did Kevins car - well done on that find Kevin! I must admit, I thought all the other cars were very nice too, especially the E36 Evo Aivus? blue. Sorry, I didn't get your name, but I never used to like that colour untill I saw yours.

The Tourer looked good too, I thought it looked "rude"

I hope the chap with the "520i" badged black 5 series got home ok? Looked like he was having trouble. I felt sorry for the lad in the 320i after an artic tried to "mate" him, I nearly had a P306 hit me on the M4 as he was fully locked up and decided he wanted my lane to avoid hitting someone else in the rear. I had JUST got passed him.
