When starting the car for the first time in a day, there is a problem starting it.

I have to turn and hold the key while engaging the crank till the engine catches and starts.

I'm sure this isnt good for the ignition/ starter motor(??), anybody knows what is the problem and how to solve it ?

I was thinking that it's time for a change of spark plugs ?

Cheers

sorry just to clarify my original post.

when i meant that i had problems starting the engine from "cold" ie. first time i'm using it for the day. I'm not referring to cold temperatures
