Just got back from a BMW free sabatical and bought a tidy E30 325 Sport, my original intention was to strip her and track it- however I feel it's a bit too tidy to pull apart and im going to keep her as is, but still do odd track day. She's getting on a bit and i'd like to replace the suspension can anyone tell me what the original M-tech suspension comprises of? Am I right in thinking the shocks are bilstein? Also does replacing the bushes make much difference?

think the shocks were bilstein.

i used to track a d reg 325 sport. i had spax 40mm lowering springs and koni sport dampers(yellow type).

it was sh*t hot around a track and i also bruised a few egos on the road

no experience of bush changes yet but a search on the site will prob tell you all you need to know.

I just bought new shocks from BMW for my Sport they are Boge. The suspension is 15mm lower than standard springs are a bit harder.

Thanks Guys, Going to talk to my local dealer for a price on the Boge shocks. Tell me Ron, did you notice a big change in the drive after fitting the new boge shocks?
