Just discovered my glovebox light is on all the time, even when the lights & ignition are off.

I'm assuming this isn't normal - maybe the result of the alarm "technician" fitting a new alarm some time ago.

This may explain the mysterious flat battery after standing 2 weeks or so.

your battery must be very good. Most people's don't last a couple of days with the glovebox light on....

When you look at the switch design you may think of another reason why it is on all the time....

I think you might be missing a little cap or plug on the glovebox "door" which is supposed to contact the switch, and hence break the circuit...
