Forced to quit my job and forced to drive old fords

My mrs works full time and while i was working, picking the kids up from school & taking to and picking up from the babysitter was costing in petrol, as well as paying the babysitter, it was all costing too much, so i have ended up having to be a house husband.

We were in the same position a few years ago mate, my wife had to give up work as she only just earned enough to cover the childcare costs once we had two bundles of joy.

Without willing relatives nearby its a nightmare.

Peel em! That would make me puke, even hospital operations on the tv puts me off my dinner

On the upside being in the cleaning trade for 7 years i could always start my own house cleaning service whilst the kids are at school. I can see it now....'Speedmaster cleaners'

That's the spirit... lots of those smaller cleaning firms do very well offering a simple but reliable & professional service... not too much in start-up costs either I'd have thought.

Speedy.

Another thing that people are often looking for, although its harder to do, especially being a bloke, is some kind of service before and after school to look after children to fit in with the parents working hours

Also home care type jobs, the visiting ones, they do a little shopping, cook a meal, etc etc

Most of those are agency things that will fit around your available hours.

My wife, who is a nurse bless her, has spent time doing dinner lady jobs, dayglo lil jobs ( she still does that one at the school our youngest goes to )

Perhaps not as profitable as your cleaning idea, but still there none the less should you get stuck
