Try

http:\\www.mytyres.net

They are pretty resonably priced.

If you're in the South west Bathwick Tyres are usually pretty competetive.

Worked out £20 cheaper for Bathwick to supply and fit two Pirelli P6000 225/55ZR16's for my 540 than mytres.net's supply only price.

Have a look at Falken tyres from Protyres of Plymouth - they are really good, and in 17 inch form on my 2.8 Z3 have more grip than I have bottle! Some typival prices are:

225-45X17 = 85 pounds

235-45X17 = 90

245-40X17 = 95

205-55-16 = 65

They may be quite cheap, but Falken do not dupport F1 racing, hence the sensible prices. Lots of grip in all conditions, sensible prices, and long life - on the Z3 fronts last for over 30,000 miles, and rears for over 20,000. On Heather's 115 bhp Golf TDI (putting 210 lb-ft through the front tyres, plus steering and conrering) fronts do 12 to 15,000 and rears 30,000 miles.
