Hi All,

I've just bought a 1979 730 in staggeringly good condition (I think, anyway). It's only done 88,000 from new (full service history). All I'm after is to know whether the engine is compatible with unleaded fuel or does it need to be run on LRP??

I'm not new to the old cars thing but I am to old BMW's...

Cheers,

Ian

I have been running my 1981 728I for just about the past year on unleaded with no problems.  I do however try to put in mainly super unleaded or optimax from shell garages

excellent to see a couple of e23 still doing the rounds.

How do they fare? Are you both club members?
